$23,596.88+ from 1 Month of Passive Income with Sunil from the Extra Money Blog [TDI032]

Note (7/7/14): This interview was originally published on 2/24/14.  This week, we’re going to feature some of my favorite interviews that were published when The Daily Interview was brand new, that many of you may have missed.  As I’m busy packing and getting ready to move to a new home later this month, I’ve decided to take another week off from posting new interviews.  Don’t worry though – we’ll be back with new interviews starting next Monday.  In the mean time, enjoy this one! 🙂

You know those people who are such hard workers, that seemingly everything they touch “turns to gold”?

Sunil from The Extra Money Blog is one of those people.

Make no mistake – there were failures along the way.  And it wasn’t easy. But this is a guy who learns from his failures, pushes past them, and finds his way to success.

I happen to be a big fan of Sunil because we come from similar professional backgrounds (working for large, international public accounting firms), and he has found a way to generate a massive online income, while still maintaining a “normal” professional career.

(Spoiler alert: In this interview, he shares exactly how he was able to balance his professional career with his online passive income projects.)

I won’t spoil any more – you’ll have to read it for yourself.

Using Niche Sites to Build a Passive Income with Jeff Fruhwirth [TDI088]

I’ve always been intrigued by niche sites – they seem to be easy to create, and when you are able to build a successful one, it can become a nice source of passive income.  This isn’t always as easy as it sounds (and those of you who know me know that I’ve failed with niche sites many times), but it’s interesting to hear from people who have succeeded with them.

This interview features Jeff Fruhwirth, a blogger who runs Sustainable Life Blog and also owns a handful of niche sites and an eCommerce store.  In the interview, we discuss some of the sites he owns (including links to some of the sites), how successful they have been for him, and we even touch on his love for do-it-yourself projects and how it fits (or doesn’t fit) with his online business.

I like Jeff because he’s a very down to Earth guy who has shown that you don’t need to be some kind of expert or “guru” to find success online.  It’s a lot simpler than other people make it out to be.

How Niche Site Creation Led to a Wildly Successful Software Business with Spencer Haws [TDI037]

Today’s interview features an internet entrepreneur – Spencer Haws – who I’ve followed for the past few years, so I’m honored to have him on The Daily Interview today.

Spencer started the way that many people do online – he created some “niche” websites (i.e. websites that publish content related to a very specific topic), tried to get some free traffic from Google, and monetized that traffic with ads.  He found a strategy that worked, and has since created hundreds of niche websites that bring in a total of over $100,000 per year.

But he didn’t stop there.

Throughout his niche site creation journey (in which he had to overcome several obstacles), he developed his own software product to help his niche sites become more successful.  This software (Long Tail Pro), which will be discussed in the interview, is now widely known in the internet marketing industry today as one of the best keyword research tools available.

Let’s jump right to the interview.

Selling Niche Sites Like a Pro with Justin Cooke from EmpireFlippers.com [TDI001]

To kick off our FIRST EVER interview here at The Daily Interview, I am thrilled to bring you this interview with Justin Cook from EmpireFlippers.com.  As someone who has been reading Empire Flippers since its early days (back when it was called Adsense Flippers), I was really excited to have this opportunity to interview Justin.  Justin and his business partner Joe have been running multiple successful businesses in the Philippines for the past several years.

The business that they mostly feature at Empire Flippers is the selling of niche sites.  They have a team that builds the sites, ranks them, and once they’re at a point of earning a decent amount of money, they flip the site for a tidy profit (usually).  They are pretty diversified, however, so this isn’t their only source of income online.

To put their success in perspective – they’ve generated between $25,000-75,000 in each month for 2013.  I love their transparency, as they break down this income each month within their income reports.

Let’s get to the interview!
