When you’re an entrepreneur, whether you’re already established or just starting out, there’s one thing you’ll inevitably encounter on your journey: challenges along the way. How you deal with those challenges is what can make or break your business.
The Daily Interview is designed to tap into the wisdom and success of thriving entrepreneurs, and capture them in one place. Each interview contains actionable advice, recommended tools, and tips and tricks for business success. Plus, we’re sure you’ll feel inspired by the stories of those who have overcome adversity — not through luck, but through hard work and determination — and attained success beyond their wildest dreams.
Interviews have been around forever, but media have evolved. These days, you’ll find that most interviews are either audio (podcasts) or video-based. Rightly so — they are amazing platforms to conduct and consume interviews.
Call us old-school, but we still like to consume most content in text form. Although from time to time we may incorporate audio and video into The Daily Interview, we wanted to get back to basics and offer a platform for incredibly insightful interviews in a text format. We’re always looking to save time, and we’ve found that in the 5–10 minutes it takes to read a text-based interview, you can extract the same valuable wisdom and advice offered by a podcast or a video interview that’s three or four times as long.
So sit back, relax, and take in all the knowledge offered by the entrepreneurs featured here at The Daily Interview. And if you think you’d make a great interview guest, click here and tell us about yourself.
Who Runs This Site?
The Daily Interview was founded in 2014 by Eric Gati, a CPA and freelance blogger. As of fall 2017, it is owned and managed by Dave Baker and his team at Super Copy Editors LLC, a business proofreading service based in Brooklyn, New York. Check out Dave’s blog for lots of advice for business writers. His other web properties include Petful, and he is a former co-owner of the Presidential Pet Museum (yes, that’s a real thing).
Great idea to help everyone see what others are doing to improve their business and generate more income. Looking forward to reading some new tips and advice.
Thanks, Steve!
Love the idea for this site!
I like podcasts but never have the time to listen to them, so this site will be a welcome addition to the similar projects out there.
Looking forward to seeing who you are interviewing in the coming weeks and months.
Thanks, Joe. Glad to have you as a reader here!
Eric, nice site. Great to listen real successful entrepreneurs. Question: How do you verify/define your interviewee being “successful”?
Thanks, Gavin, I appreciate it. I have a pretty loose definition of “successful,” because I think that even people who have achieved only a moderate level of success still have lessons to teach and value to offer.
I do usually like to see some kind of metric that reflects a level of success so that I’m not interviewing only those people who just started out. Above everything else, I like to talk to people who have interesting/inspiring stories — it isn’t all about the money (although money is probably one of the key indicators of success for most businesses).
